  2. Take 2 teaspoon of green chilli paste.
  3. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  4. Use 1 pinch of sodium bicarbonate.
  5. Provide 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  6. Use 1/2 teaspoon of asafoetida (hing).
  7. Provide 1 teaspoon of nigella.
  8. Use 1/2 cup of mustard oil.

  1. Soak matar dal (yellow split peas)in water overnight..
  2. Grind soaked lentils in a grinder and make a smooth paste..
  3. Add sodium bicarbonate,salt,assafoetida, turmeric powder, green chilli paste,sugar and nigella into the lentil paste.Beat the paste with your hand for 2-3 minutes till everything is well mixed up..
  4. Now heat mustard oil in a kadai,add a tablespoon of lentil paste in it.Once one side turns golden brown and crisp turn the other side..
  5. Make all the fritters in batches..
  6. Serve hot..
